Thank You Friend

As you know I rarely post cards made with anything other than Stampin' Up! items, but when a dear friend takes the time to make a card as beautiful as this for me, I just have to share it. I could actually hear my daughter take in air when she saw this.

Dianne doesn't leave any detail out, even the inside is created with such care and thought.
Aren't I lucky to have someone who cares enough to do this for me?

Flower Pots

I started out making one very simple card to say Thank You to a friend, but I couldn't stop....

The picture isn't spectacular, but I think you can see that once you start making these cute cards, you just can't stop.

I made this collection as my swaps for stamp club last week and now they've asked to make them at our next meeting. I'm super excited, since the new catalog will be out by then and I'll be able to use some delicious new stuff too.
FYI - the new catalog begins July 1st.

Simple Thanks

When someone has done something nice for you, there's no nicer way to show your appreciate them, than sending a hand made note, or better still a set of hand made notes.

Classes By Email

Stampin' Up! posted another one of my classes today from the latest contest and so I've been getting a number of emails asking for more information about my "by mail" classes for demonstrators and just regular customers.

You can find more information by going to the side bar here and selecting "classes by mail" or by all means, please feel free to email me reeveelizabeth@hotmail.com and I'll be happy to work with you so that you too can share in these fun classes.

I have another great new class up my sleeve, but that will have to wait for the new products in the new 2009 - 2010 Idea Book, which will be launched on July 1st 2009, so stay tuned and thanks a million for all your support. As long as you keep asking for my classes, I'll keep creating them for you!

Not Just For Valentines

Remember to get out your Valentine sets year round, there's nothing nicer than sending a "love you much" card just because you can and not because a holiday reminded you to.

I always tell my husband I'd much rather he did something like that "just because" and not because it is a special event.

Ooops I Missed Posting

Hi there,

I have no real excuse, except that summer is coming at us fast around here - we were sorting out a huge garage sale, which may take place in the next century due to how much stuff we have still to sort through. My daughter went to her first Limo Dinner party, it was the weekend to sort out Tennis and Swim team for the coming summer months and we had a blast making home made rockets and blasting them off with the Boy Scout Troop - Oh yes and I did stamp club Friday and Saturday - do you forgive me yet for not posting?

I promise to try and make it up to you in the next few weeks.

Have a wonderful week everyone!

A Splash Of Color

I thought you'd enjoy seeing how a monochromatic card can be spiced up with just a splash of color and the crimped edge gives it some extra interest.

Baby

I haven't posted a baby card in a while.

Here's an idea - make some cards using certainly celery and barely banana, then they'll work for a boy or a girl and you'll have them on hand for that unexpected arrival.

Card Spring Cleaning

Even if a card isn't my favorite, or it has mistakes or maybe I don't like how the color turned out or perhaps just isn't up to quality, maybe I just forgot I had it, it's still worth sharing, because you just never know where inspiration will come from and you can build on it - After all they say "beauty is in the eye of the beholder".

Spring Cleaning 3D

It has been fun sorting through all my pictures - I hope you are enjoying them. It will be so nice to have nice clean files to put my "new" pictures in.

We are having a huge amount of work done in our basement this week and so cleaning my picture files is at least one thing in my house I can clean this week. You should see the dust and hear the noise.

Spring Cleaning Scrapbook Pages

The one thing I love about my blog is that I no longer keep projects a secret, I get to share them with anyone who visits me here.

Usually I'm very organized and try to post things in a logical sequence, but today I was going through my file of pictures ("Spring Cleaning") I haven't shared yet and so I'm going to spend a few days sharing all sorts of projects - new, old, current and retired.

Remember, even if the products are retired, use them as your inspiration and find something that is current that works.

I hope you enjoy my Spring cleaning of my photo files.......

Scallop Edge

Take a closer look - yes, this card uses the scallop edge punch in a totally different way to create a square.

When was the last time you got your crimper out? I'd forgotten what a fabulous effect you can get using the crimper.

This card is paper all the way and monochromatic too. I wish you could see how the image pops because it has been embossed.

Deer Proof Flowers

We have deer in our yard, lots and lots of deer. This is an extremely frustrating time of year because I just can't resist planting flowers. We call our patio garden "the deer buffet". It is quite normal around here to see fourteen to twenty deer in the yard grazing.

Images © 1990-2009 Stampin' Up!
I wonder if I should plant some of these flowers - heee heee.
