Holiday Inspiration!

With the Holidays fast approaching, it is time to turn my attention to family and so here is a collection of fun projects that my ladies and I have created ready for the festive season.

We had so much fun creating sweet treats to share that we've decided to create a treat book with our recipes and hints on how to survive the Holidays - I can't wait to make our project during our January Sale-A-Bration meeting.

While The Turkey Is Roasting.......

Every Thanksgiving while the turkey is roasting, we used to make a gingerbread house with the children, but my son has lots of food allergies and so it isn't quite as much fun any more, well it wasn't until we came up with making a gingerbread house without actually using food and now thanks to Decor Accents - Design-a-House #120911 $5.95 - Holiday Mini Page 37, our joint family creativity is back in full swing - Why don't you make this the year that you begin this fun tradition too....

Dear Santa I'm Really, Really Wishing For A Big Shot For Christmas!

When the Big Shot first came out I was a bit unsure of making the investment, but my dear Husband encouraged me to go ahead and buy one. Would someone please remind me to thank him? I can't believe how much I use it.

When my ladies first saw the Big Shot, I didn't think they'd invest in one, but I had a problem - I couldn't stop using my Big Shot even though I tried really hard because I knew that not everyone had one. Guess what? Now nearly all my ladies own a Big Shot and now they can't stop using them either!

Sooooo, if you don't have a Big Shot yet, remember to ask Santa very nicely, or tell one of your loved ones that they can order you one through me www.elizabethreeve.stampinup.com, where they'll receive preferred pricing on the product and shipping or ask them for a gift card which they can also get from me.

The dry embossing on these cards took just seconds using my Big Shot and the Textured Impressions Embossing Folder #120902 Page 26 of the Holiday Mini $7.95

To create the sliding sledding children, I simply cut a slit in the front of the card and inserted a stamped strip of coordinating card.

I added a little sparkle using Dazzling Diamonds Glitter and my Two Way Glue Pen.

Stamp Club December 2010

Normally I like to wait and share our stamp club project, but since our next meeting falls so close to Christmas I wanted to share this fun idea with you now.

The Holiday Mini Is Here

A few weeks ago I posted raving about the new Holiday Mini - now I have to post again to let you know how popular the Candy Countdown Calendar Kits are - I showed it to some wonderful ladies yesterday and they couldn't resist them - one lady ordered four kits as gifts - another is using at as her craft for the children while the Thanksgiving turkey cooks, several others are sending them as gifts to Europe because they are so unique and light to mail...

- Why am I telling you all this? Because Candy Countdown Calendar Kits are only available "while supplies last" and if they are flying off the shelf for everyone else, and you'd like to place an order, please, please don't wait - I'd hate for you to miss out.

Also check out our fabulous designer series paper, you have to see it to believe that it's that great. Recordable greeting cards, musical greeting cards. The cutest stamps, glitter, accessories to name but a few......

Below really is one of my personal favorites, I just couldn't help ordering this fun way to celebrate Advent. When this fun kit arrived, I couldn't believe the quality. I knew the moment that I saw it, I'd order it for my Niece who turned 12 in October, she loved it, it was light to ship and my daughter had so much fun creating my kit, I know my Niece will love it too. $19.95 includes everything except adhesive Candy Countdown Calendar Kit #120926.

You can switch out a couple of the background papers and use this fun kit to count down just about anything.

The boxes are not too small either, plenty of room for treats and everything is pre-cut for you.

Remember, as with any kit like this, it will be available "while supplies last" and then we will be unable to order any more.

Sweet Centers Halloween

These are the cards my children are giving their teachers last year. If you pull on the little handle, then there is a window on the inside of the card that slides up to give access to the candy without having to take the entire card apart.

I love these sweet treat cups - they're really inexpensive. I'll have a fun Holiday idea for you to use these for Christmas, so make sure you stop by.

I even love using the empty packaging for fun projects when you've used up all the little cups.

Debbie Has More Hours In The Day Than The Rest Of Us

My post the other day showed you a place card and the lady that inspired me to make them was Debbie, somehow she manages to make it look like she has more hours available in her day than the rest of us - she even found time to make her own Christmas cards and send them weeks before Christmas when she was heading to England for Christmas....
