It's one thing to get a card in the mail, but quite another to find your Birthday posted on a Blog. Happy Birthday Grace!

Texturz and Raspberry Tart
I can't believe we have to say goodbye to Raspberry Tart Designer Series paper, I've just loved having it as part of my collection and doesn't it look lovely when combined with the dry embossed effect using the Big Shot Texturz plates?

Stampin' Up! .COM
I absolutely love this idea that is posted at www.stampinup.com - It uses the under the stars stamp set and reminded me that I should pop on over there once in a while because there are some fabulous projects to enjoy.
What is even more exciting is that all the ingredients to make this project are listed and so your shopping list is already done for you - now that's what I call a great service.

Texturz Plates
My ladies who don't yet own a Big Shot get mad when I show them the delightful things you can make, one day they'll all own one, it's like that bowl of chocolate you walk by and resist and then one day, you just have to stop and treat yourself.
I've always loved the effect of dry embossing and now I can create that look in seconds with my big shot and the texturz plates.

Bloom
I just love cards that can be used for so many different occasions don't you?
A friend of mine popped in to see me the other day, she's expecting a baby soon and her shirt was pink, she looked simply stunning and the word "bloom" is the perfect fit for Danielle.

Lost Now Found
The other day a friend of mine saw this card and we searched and searched for the stamp set in the catalog and couldn't find it - all the time it was right there in front of us. I guess that's what they call "can't see for looking".
I love this stamp set. I actually have a sewing machine in my living room that looks just like this one - did you notice how the stitching on the card ties in with the image? Heee heee, it's those subtle things we don't notice. The message stamped with curvey verses reminds me of how my stitching actually looks normally.

Punch Frog
I've been saving this little fella for ages, waiting to show you and hopefully offering a class too, but today just feels like the perfect time to share him, since I left you hanging without creative inspiration for a few days.
I have some other really cute punch ideas in my archives, so stay tuned and I'll try to post them soon.
By the way it reminds me of the other day when my daughter said she had a frog in her throat and my son asked her in a very serious way "how did it get there - does it hurt?" - he was quite alarmed.

The Storm Before The Calm Before The Storm
Hi there,
You've heard of the calm before the storm haven't you? I decided to do our garage sale before the children finished school and before the retired list came out and the new products were announced to demonstrators.
Then on Thursday night towards the end of day one of my garage sale, I received a garbled call from my husband saying he'd been in a car accident and was injured, but was OK - the rest is now history and part of the normal cohos that ensues after a message like that. My dear man has a broken hand and slight injuries to the insides of his arms and a very battered looking Jeep that probably saved his life - needless to say - we actually feel blessed, because we know that it could have been so much worse. Life with one working hand/arm is tough for the poor guy, but he's doing his best and I've already lost four pounds since Friday - I had no idea how much we worked as a team.
I promise you all that I'll do my very best to stay on track with the blog for your enjoyment and keep you posted on all the Stampin' Up! news that will be coming our way over the next few weeks as we head towards the release of the new catalog.
Hopefully life has been kind to you while I've been off line for a few days. Thanks so much for putting up with no new posts for a few days.
