Let's Build A Sand Castle

Today I was at the library and I noticed there was a "book" on building sand castles, yes, a book!! I remember when I was a little girl we decorated our sand castles with shells and patterns we made in the sand and if we were really lucky, we'd get some flags made from paper and tooth picks.......

So, here's a fun idea - get your your big shot and create some fun shapes with craft foam and sticks and make a fun bucket of sand treats for that special little friend who loves to play in the sand. I can only imagine how delighted I would have been if I'd received this gift when I was a little girl.

London Seminar

My son is almost seven and he still spends nearly all his time in the sand box when we visit our local pool.

One more trip down memory lane - do you remember how you'd dig a hole in the sand and try, try, try to fill it with water and every time you got back to your hole with a bucket of water, the last deposit had vanished?

Under The Stars - Sketer Spray

On July 4th we went to a fabulous party our hostess gave us all patriotic key chains as gifts and when dusk was upon us one kind gentleman came around and sprayed each of us with "Sketer Spray" - All this got me thinking that I could combine both ideas and give these little packets as gifts to guests when they come over to BBQ......

Again I was in a huge hurry when I made these, but they were fun and super fast to make with just a few tools and of course the Under The Stars stamp set.

My children exchange goody bags with their swimming buddies at swim meets and so we popped a Smores Kit and a Sketer Pouch in each of their bags for our last swim meet.

I have to admit that when stamp sets retire, I do actually sell them, but there are some I just know I'll keep and use always and with these fun images, I just know that "Under The Stars" is one of those sets.

Under The Stars Quick Treats

I love creating fun treats to give to friends, but more than that I love to see the look on their face when they receive it - These kits were so much fun to give and receive using the Under The Stars Stamp set......

I used our medium cello bags, which are food grade and I chose to use individually wraped chocolate so that if it got hot it would only melt inside the wrapper. We made some slightly more fancy ones too with hemp twine and tags with a note of thanks, but I forgot to take pictures before we gave them out.
