I was so delighted to see that the coordinating paper, stamp set and punch are all still available in the new 2011 - 2012 Idea Book - we'll need to make one small change though - the build a brad has now retired, but there are some super new brads that I can't wait to order!

I can just imagine the smile on Shirley's face as she created this heartfelt swap for our recent stamp club. I love the way she cut the front of the card at an angle to reveal a hint of the warm wishes inside!

Sweet Translucent Evelope Book

Just before Christmas our stamp club had a wonderful gathering and we all shared sweet treats that we'd made - everyone wanted each other's recipes and so we decided that our first project of 2011 would be a recipe book where we could share all our wonderful ideas.

Each member of the group brought along a picture of their treat and the recipe and now we have a wonderful collection of recipes to go along with our special memories of our Holiday 2010 gathering.

My next plan is to make some of these cut books for new moms, so that they can create simple but special memory books.

Thank you as always to my wonderful stamp club - you inspire me every day!

On a personal note, please accept my apologies for the lack of posts this year. We began homeschooling our son in January and so life has been a little different. Home school is going really well and the biggest and most unexpected bonus has been a huge improvement in our little man's health.

I promise to try and update my blog more often as we settle into our new routine! Thank you to everyone who has called, emailed and written to offer their support and understanding, it means the world to us!

When the Big Shot first came out I was a bit unsure of making the investment, but my dear Husband encouraged me to go ahead and buy one. Would someone please remind me to thank him? I can't believe how much I use it.

When my ladies first saw the Big Shot, I didn't think they'd invest in one, but I had a problem - I couldn't stop using my Big Shot even though I tried really hard because I knew that not everyone had one. Guess what? Now nearly all my ladies own a Big Shot and now they can't stop using them either!

The dry embossing on these cards took just seconds using my Big Shot and the Textured Impressions Embossing Folder #120902 Page 26 of the Holiday Mini $7.95

To create the sliding sledding children, I simply cut a slit in the front of the card and inserted a stamped strip of coordinating card.

I added a little sparkle using Dazzling Diamonds Glitter and my Two Way Glue Pen.

I really enjoyed making these projects with my ladies stamp club recently.

Place Cards or Treat Boxes

There are so many different things you can do with these cute boxes and you won't believe how easy they are to make using your Big Shot and the new Candy Wrapper Die 120890 - it's in the Holiday Mini page 10.

Imagine putting a little message of thanks in them and using them as place cards for Thanksgiving, or adding numbers to the front and using them as a countdown for a special event, perhaps even as an Advent idea - Oh the possibilities!
