The Holiday Mini Is Here

A few weeks ago I posted raving about the new Holiday Mini - now I have to post again to let you know how popular the Candy Countdown Calendar Kits are - I showed it to some wonderful ladies yesterday and they couldn't resist them - one lady ordered four kits as gifts - another is using at as her craft for the children while the Thanksgiving turkey cooks, several others are sending them as gifts to Europe because they are so unique and light to mail...

- Why am I telling you all this? Because Candy Countdown Calendar Kits are only available "while supplies last" and if they are flying off the shelf for everyone else, and you'd like to place an order, please, please don't wait - I'd hate for you to miss out.

Also check out our fabulous designer series paper, you have to see it to believe that it's that great. Recordable greeting cards, musical greeting cards. The cutest stamps, glitter, accessories to name but a few......

Below really is one of my personal favorites, I just couldn't help ordering this fun way to celebrate Advent. When this fun kit arrived, I couldn't believe the quality. I knew the moment that I saw it, I'd order it for my Niece who turned 12 in October, she loved it, it was light to ship and my daughter had so much fun creating my kit, I know my Niece will love it too. $19.95 includes everything except adhesive Candy Countdown Calendar Kit #120926.

Images © 1990-2011 Stampin' Up!

You can switch out a couple of the background papers and use this fun kit to count down just about anything.

The boxes are not too small either, plenty of room for treats and everything is pre-cut for you.

Remember, as with any kit like this, it will be available "while supplies last" and then we will be unable to order any more.

Hop on over to http://www.elizabethreeve.stampinup.net/ to view the fabulous new Holiday Mini and remember to choose me as your demonstrator when you place your online order so that you receive my preferred prices on merchandise and shipping.

Big Shot In Color Sampler - Now Available

Images © 1990-2009 Stampin' Up!

A few weeks ago I created these samplers. When I created them, I had in my mind that not everyone has had the opportunity to see the current and fabulous "in colors" and I also had in my mind that not everyone owns a Big Shot machine to create wonderful textured backgrounds and so I combined both in one sampler.
It makes it so easy for me to show folks and is very portable because of the size.
Each sampler is approximately 3 1/2" x 2 3/4".
There are six in colors, but I wanted to show how our Whisper White comes out and so I used just five, but included the sixth color as a little background for the brad that holds the sampler together. My personal sampler is held together by a brad I wanted to showcase, however my standard samplers are held together just a simple gold or silver brad.
Texturz plates come in sets of 3, with an image on each side and so there are a total of 6 different patterns. My samplers are Texturz Plates - # 114512 Stampin' Up! Backgrounds 1 - featured on page 203 of the current idea book.
Dry embossing is one of my all time favorite techniques, but it has always been too time consuming for me to do very often and so I am just tickled pink that these fabulous texturz plates came along.
Once again, I was surprised when someone asked where they could purchase one of my little creations to showcase in colors and Backgrounds 1 and so.........
If you would like to purchase a sampler, please feel free to email me - reeveelizabeth@hotmail.com $5.00 including shipping and handling - samplers will be mailed in a regular envelope to keep shipping costs to a minimum.

My 3d London Regional Swap

Big Shot Texturz #1
This weekend I’ll be attending the Stampin’ Up! London Regional Conference. One of my favorite things about attending events like this, is that I get to swap with fellow demonstrators – that means you make a pile of card fronts and or 3d items – they can all be the same and then you exchange them with fellow stampers who have done the same.

In my last post I talked about the card stock sample ring I made for myself and it was that idea that gave me the inspiration for my 3d swap.

Not every demonstrator is lucky enough to own a Big Shot and so I created little sample booklets so that demonstrators can showcase the current in colors and the exclusive Stampin’ Up #1 Texturz dry embossed images. I also ran one image through on white card stock, so that they could showcase that too.

I hope my fellow demonstrators like them. They were quite time intensive to make, but I think it was worth it.

On my personal sample, I chose to hold it together with a special brad to showcase that Stampin’ Up! now offers some fabulous new brads.

Simply Scrappin'

Although this Simply Scrappin' Kit has now retired, I couldn't resist using it and showing you how easy it is to create fun pages. The only stamping I needed to use was for the words "sun shine". Do you go to crops and find you take half your crafting room? Next time, just take a couple of Simply Scrappin' Kits and you'll be surprised at how beautiful your pages are and how few supplies you have to take.

Simply Sent

My pictures do not do this fabulous kit justice, you've got to see it in person. - This is perfect for so many reasons. First of all the images are beautiful and the dry embossing is just classic. Keep a kit on hand, to create a last minute card in seconds. Keep a few on hand to give as gifts - they are perfect because the kit includes card, envelopes, ink, stamps, ribbon and instructions too.
If you have never stamped before, this is a perfect starter kit and it even comes in a reusable pouch.
Item number 114594 page 168 $24.95 - Birthdays, Mother's Day, Easter, Hostess Gift, You'll have something unique and special.

Short and Sweet Gift Unique Gift Idea

Images © 1990-2009 Stampin' Up!

Stampin’ Up! Bundles Make Great and Unique Gifts

When it come to giving gifts, it can be hard to come up with ideas, how about this one:

Make a Gift Bundle:

Here are some great items to get you started during Sale-A-Bration

107311 – 20 Note cards with Envelopes $5.95
115060 – Short and Sweet Stamp Set $17.95
4 x Stampin’ Write Markers $3.25 each - $13.00
Total $36.90

For the markers I chose certainly celery, bashful blue, pretty in pink and rose red – why?
Because in the short and sweet set there is a baby pin, so I can make cards with a pink or blue baby pin and use the celery for the words. For Christmas I can use blue for the snowflake and rose red for the words and for any of the other sentiments I can use any of the combinations.

During Sale-A-Bration, spend an additional $13.10 (why not add a punch) in merchandise and you can earn a FREE Sale-A-Bration item.

What would I do?

I’d choose my FREE stamp set Polka Dot Punches and I’d get to my $50 level by adding a punch that coordinates with this stamp set – all four images in Polka Dot Punches have a coordinating punch.

Take a look at the versatile Short and Sweet Stamp Set and tell me how you would bundle it, the possibilities are endless……

"Best Ever" I Just Can't Stop! Scrappin'

Images © 1990-2009 Stampin' Up!

After spending the last few days creating my "Best Ever" Scrapbooking, Card Making and By Mail Class, I popped back into my "studio" - (by now you'll all know that, that means I went to do laundry and got side tracked) and there just sitting there, waiting to be enjoyed were "leftovers", not the kind that your kids moan about, but delicious leftover pieces from my "Best Ever" Simply Scrappin' Kit and I just had to stop for a moment to enjoy them and look what happened.

Do leftovers look this cute in your house? No? Mine don't normally either.

Have a great day!

I Promised You A Project With The "Best Ever" Simply Scrappin' Kit!!

Stampin' Up! Best Ever Simply Scrappin' Kit 112054

You can create all this from one kit
and 10 sheets of Whisper White card stock, Glue and a Paper Trimmer
Images © 1990-2009 Stampin' Up!

For a long time now I’ve wanted to showcase one of the fabulous Stampin’ Up! Simply Scrappin’ Kits. My challenge is that many of my customers are primarily card makers and probably wouldn’t take a second look at a “scrappin’ kit”. I also have a number of customers who are scrapbookers and don’t make cards and then there is the group who do both.

Now, it has been said, and I quote “you can please some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people, all of the time”, it has also been said that “you can’t be all things to all people”.

Well, I’m here to show you that the Simply Scrappin’ kit does the very best job of kicking both those statements into touch. Just look above and you will see a small sampling of what I’m talking about.

For my “card makers” – I made 20 really classy cards out of half, yes, half the kit and ten sheets of 8 ½” x 11” Whisper White card stock and as well as still having half the kit still unused, there were still pieces left over to make a few extra, which means you can make more than forty cards out of just one Simply Scrappin’ kit.

For my “scrapbookers” – I made 3 different but coordinating 12x12 scrapbook pages from half, yes, half the kit and of course with the other half of the kit you could easily create coordinating facing pages for a double spread and there were plenty of images left over for extra embellishment or making additional projects later.

For my “card makers/scrapbookers” – I made three different but coordinating 12x12 scrapbook pages and 20 cards by using the entire kit and ten sheets of extra 8 ½” x 11” Whisper White card stock and there ware still plenty of pieces left over for extra embellishment or additional projects.

I chose to use the minimum tools and embellishments to keep the projects simple and inexpensive – perfect for beginners and bliss for long time crafters:

· Best Ever Simply Scrappin’ Kit
· Paper trimmer
· Glue – I used my favorite – removable Dotto®
· Dimensionals (totally optional)
· Whisper White Card Stock (cards only - 10 or 20 sheets depending on number of cards you make)
· Bone Folder (cards only)
· Time (not as much as you would think)
· Imagination and Creativity (totally optional)
· Friends/Family to share your fabulous creations with

The thing that struck me most as I was creating the cards was how they reminded me of one of those classy designer store cards. I can’t decide if it was the simple yet flexible and elegant images or the fabulous color combinations and the ability to create a monochromatic effect. I was also impressed with the fact that I couldn’t think of a single person these cards in the right combination wouldn’t work for.

The colors in the scrapbook pages are neutral enough for any picture and the perfect backdrop to get you in the mood for being creative.

Now that you have seen the flexibility of our Simply Scrappin’ Kits, I hope you’ll take a closer look at the many fabulous designs in our current Stampin’ Up! Idea Book for Spring and Summer 2009.

Would you like to take part in a creative gathering to make these fabulous projects? Stay tuned or send me an email reeveelizabeth@hotmail.com.

Would you like to make these fabulous projects but you just don’t have time or maybe you live too far away to attend a gathering? Stay tuned, or send me an email to find out how to receive the entire project by mail and email including images of each project. Step by step instructions are not necessary, but there will be a simple guide by email.
